Its been a while since I last said anything so, for you all, will be some regular words.
We are approaching 5 years now and a great deal has changed, not least, our focus and various plans. 2016 hold some exciting moves for us; we have set up residence at The Cumberland Arms in Ouseburn (@thecumby) for 3 days per week. What a brilliant response we have had, not least from Jo & Carl and the team . We are still looking for a new Mezze Bar and will announce when this has happened. Once bitten as they say after the last debacle!
We have mastered our new Harissa ketchup and Amba plus our Shawarma and Falafel mixes are nearly ready for on line sales.
That’s where we are today, but I wanted to touch on a few things which I wanted to share with you.
Tom and I are still overwhelmed by the fabulous support we have when we trade and in the main the feedback is so good. Occasionally we get a grump who doesn’t get served within 2 minutes and the odd one that gripes because we have run out of falafel, of course we are sorry but we do our very best and go as quickly as we can. The essence of street food is that connection with the customer; thats what keeps us going especially when we have prepared 300kg chicken the previous day and been hampered by the inevitable “procedural monolith” anyway more for you in Pop’s blog which is coming on line soon.
